Body Shop and Growing Up in The 90's!

Hi Guys!

Another week has passed, The older we get I feel time passes by speedier than ever and the fact I am always working!! I am going somewhere with this so hang in there hehe.

I am at my mid-twenties and grew up in the 90's, I have been perusing the net and searched "Growing Up in The 90's" this has brought up so many great and cringy memories!

Body Shop takes me back to the 90's, I remember my mum taking me in there to spend my pocket money and I came away with their Vanilla perfume, and this was my go to perfume right up until I was 18 (I really did love it)

Hahaha I got this Picture from pinterest!

So when I went into the Bodyshop a couple of weeks ago I could not help but browse the perfume section, which I picked out two perfume products.

Introducing Honeymania and Shea Eau De Toilette, these I am totally in love with. I am addicted to anything Honey, last year I had a love affair with Devonshire Honeycomb Icecream.........this resulted in a few pounds weight gain oops. The Honeymania consists of the glorious scent of Honey, with the delicous paring of floral notes.

Shea is a different ball game, this sultry, sensual scent reminds me of male cologne which I love as I am the type of girl who will wear my man's scent over mine (shhhhh he does not know I do this)

So were you a 90's body shop junkie like I? Does white musk take you back? If so drop me a comment!!

Book Worm #1

There is nothing I enjoy more than a cup of tea and a good book, reading is a way I relax and take my mind off of the stresses in life.

Having started reading from an early ages (mainly because of my dad whom is also a self confessed book worm) a book has always been by my side, in my bag and on my bed side table.

You could say that I am a bit of a book whore, give me a book and I will read it whatever!!

I shift between a proper book and my kindle (I do a lot of commuting so a kindle is space saving), but there is nothing like a real book.

Anyway this week I started and finished a book called "Before I Go To Sleep" by an Author called S.J. Watson. A brief synopsis of the novel is about a women named Christine, who has the terrible affliction of waking every morning with amnesia - no memory. Can she trust the people closest to her?

The book was published in 2012 This Midlands born author has won numerous awards for this compelling read. I literally could not put it down, If you like crime/psychological fiction then this is a must.

The book is that successful that a movie will be being made.......apparently.

Have you read Before I Go To Sleep? If so did you enjoy it and why? If not how come? Would love to read your opinions!!

I am going to read Interview with The Vampire next, recommended by my sister-in-law. Believe it or not I have never read it before or watched the movie!!

Hakuna Matata

Life this week as been a little hectic for me, I have been commuting to and from London for the last week which has been a welcomed change from my normal day to day.

Working night shifts have been on my agenda this week, night shifts do not bother me as much as thought when I first started my job 4 years ago. If you do not stay hydrated on night shifts you can be left with dull, tired and sallow looking skin.

What do I do as a job? I hear you ask this might answer your questions

Anyway, after working nights and wandering round London in search of food and plenty of caffeine can get lonely. So was quite grateful to be picked up from the train station by my dad, whom took me back to his house and feed me up with breakfast treats and lots of tea........ this was a bonus because like a doughnut I had forgotten my house keys, and Chris my other half :) had gone clay pigeon shooting he is very good; So good old dad stepped in.

I slept for the morning and early afternoon. Chris was a real sweetie and took me out for some food. He was a greedy guts and had a burger and a lobster!! What a combination.
I also had a burger.......I was in the need for some serious sustenance!!! It was a blue cheese burger yum btw.

No way did I eat all of this, but Chris ate his and the rest of mine what a piglet. Anyhoo we also had pudding that was not round long enough for any pictures.

The boy then drove us back to ours where he made me a cup of tea and let me watch Crufts......Now that is love!!

I am dog mad, and am the proud owner of Bear my German Shepard

How gorgeous is he!? Any way this is a change from my recent beauty filled posts. Hope you like it.

Haul #2: A Pick and Mix

Impulse purchases are my weakness, I see an advert about a particular product, or I read a review about a product and then that is it I want said product......Bad

It sits in my mind, I cant stop thinking about it until I am either in the shop or on the website and this is what happened with the products I am going to show you.

Maybelline Coloursensational Shine Gloss in Cashmere Rose. I picked this little beauty up for £6.19. Now lots of other beauty bloggers have been writing about the product how good they are and their formula.

I only got this yesterday, but it has left a good first impression on me. I am loving it so far, onto something I am not so impressed with.......

I think I was very hasty when I bought this, I had watched videos reviewing the product, I had read reviews and even seen images of the product in action. I was sure this would be perfect for me, I am normally quite impressed with high street foundations. The price is reasonable at £10.99, and the colour was a complete match, the coverage was on first impressions was shocking in my opinion. But a full review will be posted soon.

Seventeen is not a brand I have used, but I noticed it on offer stand in my local boots...... 3 for 2 always sucks me in. Seventeen have branded it a 3 way highlighter, glow and primer.

First impressions of the formula is that I doubt it would be effective as a primer, but as a highlighter maybe, mixed in foundation quite possibly.

The price is very reasonable at £5.99.

The next product is what I am most excited about road testing, I have been looking for it everywhere. I considered purchasing it from Sephora, but the shipping costs and taxes seemed pointless and wasteful. www.gurumakeupemporium.com came up trumps......Do you know what product I am talking about?
Yes! Make Up For Ever High Definition Foundation, I have read so many rave reviews about this and really wanted to jump on the band wagon. I wanted a foundation that is like a second skin and just make me look radiant...... I am hoping this is the one!
